Our Organist –
John Gaehring has been the organist and formerly choir director at Zion for nearly 25 years. A native of New Jersey, he began studying the organ at age 9. John holds a BA in Music from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He did graduate work in music at the University of Texas. John and his wife have been parishioners at Zion since 1985. They live in Avon and have 2 married sons and two grandsons. John retired from Hillside Children’s Center after 36 years and continues to work part time as a Sign Language Interpreter.
Our Office
Administrator –
Barbara Faisst Kiefer is a long time resident of Avon and graduate of Avon Central School. She has over 30 years experience in the architectural field as an administrative assistant and draftsperson. Currently she is managing the church office and learning church procedures as a staff member at Zion in the position of Administrative Assistant. The people here are helpful and friendly and make her job very enjoyable. She is glad to be a part of this church community.
